Exciting Podcast Project: Unleashing Creativity in Fourth Grade!
Our students embarked on an incredible journey as they created their podcast "bumpers" and artwork! Through dedicated practice, they crafted engaging scripts based on our Science lessons, focusing on topics related to healthy (and unhealthy) foods, habits, and life choices.
Before using our new podcast equipment, they honed their skills by recording themselves on a voice recorder website. It was inspiring to witness their self-expression and collaboration as they worked together.
Their creativity truly shone through in so many ways, reflecting the bright future ahead of them in the world of podcasting! “To infinity and beyond!” 🌟🎙️

Shark-tastic Science in Action!
Our 5th Grade AIG & Math Law students in Mrs. Adkins' class dove into an unforgettable learning experience with a hands-on Shark Dissection adventure! A special shout out to Mr. Reggie Cobb, from Nash Community College, for being our faithful leader during this unique and memorable learning adventure.
From exploring body systems like digestion and respiration to discovering how sharks fit into the ocean’s ecosystem, our young scientists stepped into the shoes (or fins!) of marine biologists.
But the learning didn’t stop at science!
Students read and analyzed informational texts, practiced quoting and summarizing, and even presented their findings to others—strengthening their ELA skills and confidence as communicators.
The best part? Our 5th graders became leaders, sharing their knowledge with presenting to the students in 3rd and 5th-grade classes. They asked questions, answered with confidence, and inspired a wave of curiosity across the school.
We’re SO proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and leadership. Way to go, scientists!
